Vido Island

Located just opposite the City of Corfu, this small natural paradise magically combines green and the sea. Within a short time you will be able to tour the whole Island through its green paths and learn a lot about its turbulent history. On the island there are facilities for visitors, without detracting from the natural beauty. You can enjoy a swim on one of its beaches or a picnic at one of the wooden benches, scattered around in the most picturesque parts of the island or even have a meal at the restaurant situated right beside the small port. Mon Repos Palace

Built in 1828 for the second British High Commissioner of the Ionian Islands, Sir Frederic Adam, as a summer resident, or what the locals think: A gift to his Corfiot wife, Nina. It is a charming palace with colonial architecture. Once the summer mansion of the Greek royal family, it hosted some of the most illustrious guests of the time. Nowadays this magnificent mansion is a museum surrounded by a beautiful grove. Filled with trees and flowers; some of them transported from the tropics, a small beach, and an ancient Greek temple, it constitutes a unique recreational area for locals and tourists alike.

 Pontikonisi 

Pontikonisi, or publicly known Mouse Island due to its tiny size, is a green and tree-covered islet located in Chalikiopoulos lagoon, facing both the Corfiot Airport and the idyllic Monastery of Vlacherna. At the top of the islet lies a Byzantine chapel dating back to 11th century AD. This chapel holds a unique place at the hearts of the locals, hence is preferred as a venue location for ceremonies like marriages or christenings. Vlacherna church offers some compelling insights in the history of Christianity. It dates to the 17^th c. and its name derives from a famous district of Constantinople. The Monastery’s façade is covered with white tiles and enclosed in a charming seafront yard. When a visitor walks in will be dazzled by the impressive wall paintings and the wood-carved iconostasis.

Benitses

Not far from Corfu town, lies the picturesque fishing village of Benitses. In this village you can see Traditional Greek architecture, visit the ruins of an ancient villa and the Roman baths. With its well-organized marina and a large sandy beach, a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops, Benitses is a well-organized paradise that can satisfy every need.
