There remains to this day – Kolyvri, the petrified ship – rising from the sea like a hero, frozen mid-journey, its prow lifted, its oar forever poised, as though time itself had been commanded to stop. Less rock than memory, it stands as an eternal marker of defiance, longing, and return, known to every Corfiot sailor.

The sea then leads you onward to the bay where Odysseus, cast ashore by fate, first touched Corfiot land. There, Princess Nausikaa appeared like dawn itself – a vision of grace and courage at the edge of the sea. She offered shelter, dignity, and a path forward, guiding the weary hero toward her father’s realm and setting his destiny back into motion.
